Safari Overview
The 4 Days Primate Safari Tour in Rwanda gives you the opportunity to explore numerous places in Rwanda like Volcanoes National Park where you will watch the Mountain Gorillas enjoying their natural habitat to the fullest as well as Nyungwe Forest National Park where you will track the rare species of Chimpanzees.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
On arrival at the airport, you will be received by tour guide from Rwanda Gorilla trek who will transfer you to Kigali Serena hotel /The Manor hotel/ Chez Lando hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: City tour -Volcanoes National Park
In the morning, you will go for a city tour, where you will visit the genocide memorial museum, crafts shops among others. After lunch, you will set off a spectacular drive to Volcanoes national park. Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge/La Palme hotel/Muhabura hotel.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking- Volcanoes National Park
In the morning, you will go for pre tracking briefing at the part headquarters before going for the gorilla tracking adventure in the forest. Tracking may take 1-8 hours depending on the group you are allocated and movement of the gentle giants. Stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour before returning back. In the afternoon, you may go for cultural walk to the Banyarwanda village. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking-Nyungwe Forest
Early in the morning, re enter the forest in search another endangered species golden monkey. they are well habituated and very unique with their colour. After golden monkey tracking, the driver will transfer you back to kigali for your flight back home.
