Detailed itinerary
1st day: Arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, transfer to your accommodation
Our day one marks the beginning of our 7-day trip which start with your arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport where you will be welcomed by our high experienced tour guide. The guide will take you through your itinerary highlighting the key event of your dream safari. After the briefing you will be transferred to your lodge at Arusha city which is one and half hour drive from the airport where you will have your dinner and spend the night.
2nd day: transfer to Tarangire national park, game drive
After the breakfast early in the morning at around 6: 30 am, we shall transfer to Tarangire national park. The distance from arusha to tarangire is approximately 140 kilometres which is 3-hour drive by road. During the drive you enjoy the beauty of the Tanzania northern circuit and if lucky enough you will encounter some animals along the way.
Upon arrival to the park headquarters, you will do the due clearance and then embark on your game drive within this famous park where you will encounter different animals including the big five of Africa (lion, leopard, rhinos, elephant and cape buffalos). Other herbivores will be encountered on top of various bird species and some primates. After the day of animal search, you will return to your tented camp for the night stay, dinner and refreshment
3rd day: transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area, game drive and boat cruise back to Arusha
After your breakfast, you will embark on another day of great adventure. The day will start with the two-hour drive (110 kilometres) from your lodge at terengire to the famous Ngorongoro conservation area for another discovery. On arrival to the park headquarter, you will check in and do the necessary clearance before starting your search.
During this game drive you will encounter the famous wildebeests that call park home throughout the year. Beside wildebeest, you will several zebras, elephants and a lot of antelopes. The herbivores will be closely flowered by the cats including cheetahs, lions, leopards and many more. If you are lucky enough, you shall be able to witness the predator-prey interaction.
Beside animals you will visit the Ngorongoro crater where you will meet the crater lake that provide a scenic view to the visitors. You will be able to do a boat cruise at this lake where you will continue to sport various aquatic lives and birds. You will spend the night at a tented lodge in Ngorongoro where you will have your dinner
4th day: flight to Kigali international airport from KIA, transfer to volcanoes
After the breakfast, we shall proceed with another 4-hour drive to Kilimanjaro international airport where we shall catch our flight to Kigali international airport. At the airport, you will be received by our local guide in Rwanda who will drive to your lodge in volcanoes national park where you will have your dinner and night stay. The drive to volcanoes is a 2-hour drive by road
5th day: mountain gorilla trekking
The main activity on Rwanda safari is schedule on this day where you will encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. The trekking of these gentle giants starts very early in the morning. Therefore, ensure to have your breakfast very earl in the morning as you are required to e at park headquarter by 7:30 am for the briefing and family allocation. Once you encounter the gorillas, you will be allocated one hour with these great apes. After trek, return to your lodge for the dinner relaxation and night stay.
6th day: hiking mount Bisoke
After your breakfast, again we shall return to the park headquarter for the briefing, after the briefing we shall start hiking this volcanic mountain. The hiking will take us 4 hours to summit it and at the summit of mount Bisoke you will able to the different mountains of Virunga massif. You will also be able to spot the twin lakes. after the summit, you will embark on your return journey and then drive to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and night stay.
7th day: transfer back to Kigali international airport for your flight back home
Our final day of this adventurous vacation safari will start with routine breakfast. After the breakfast, we shall transfer back to Kigali international airport for your flight back home. Depending on the time of your flight, we can choose to do Kigali city tour to gain a more understanding of Rwanda as the country
