The country is the home to over 20 percent of the mountain gorillas that do still exist on earth. There is only two more countries where these great apes can be found and this is, Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. it is not un common to have a combined trip in east Africa and you will not need to apply for another visa as long as yo apply for east African visa online at 100 dollars

The number of days to spend on a Rwanda safari

You will need five to seven days to get a proper vacation safari in Rwanda as we are going to see briefly;

First day: this is the day of your arrival in the land of thousand hills, depending on your time of arrival, you can choose to do a city tour or just to be transferred to the lodge of your choice

Second day: As we have said, you wouldn’t wish to miss out on the gorilla trekking, therefore this should be the day you visit the volcanoes national park for this great adventure, and it will be a full day activity where you will be required to even carry a parked food

Third day; you can still stay in volcanoes and go for golden trekking to have a view on these beautiful but endangered primates. Trekking golden monkey is not time consuming as trekking gorillas. Therefore, we shall add the boat cruise on this day at lake kivu and that will all for our third day

Fourth day: on this day you may choose to complete visiting all the primate by visiting Nyungwe national park for chimpanzee trekking in the morning. After the trek, we can use the evening in case you are not very tired to do the canopy walk. the canopy walk will give us an aerial view of Nyungwe forest and let you discover within the forest

Fifth day: this is a day we shall go for the wildlife viewing at Akagera national park. The game drive will start early in the morning to ensure that we don’t miss out on the early morning riser. Whatever you will miss out in the morning session will be compensated for in the evening game drive session.

the extra two days

That is our five days in Rwanda and we have almost everything other than hiking however if your arrival time is late then we shall be required to take up another day for the city tour. For those interested in hiking let us continue with our safari

Sixth day: on six day we can choose to hike mount Mahinga which is a sing day activity, or we can start on hiking the mount Karisimbi which we shall finish on the seventh day.

Seventh day: If your choice was to climb mount Karisimbi, you will complete your hiking on this day be transferred back to the airport. For those hiked mount Gahinga, we can proceed with Diana Fossel grave hiking to pay respect to the lady who worked so hard for the existence of mountain gorillas today before heading to the airport.
