The 1 day Mabamba shoebill vacation or Uganda birding safari will tack to the Mabamba swamp located on the outskirt of Entebbe city where the only international airport in Uganda is found (at least until when Kabalega international airport will be opened). The swamp is famous for the bird enthusiasts as it is a home to various bird species include the rare shoebill stock that will be adventured on the small wooden boat that will pick you up from Nakiwogo with your birding guide to swampy area of Mabamba where the shoebill will encounter while hunting different fish species including the lung fish which are popular in that area.

To reach Nakiwogo, it is a 30-minute drive from Entebbe city and the drive from Kampala to Nakiwogo is about 1 and half hour drive, on arrival at the Nakiwogo, your birding guide will join you on a wooden boat to offer a lifetime chance to meet this rare shoebill stork

1 Day Mabamba Island Tour| Rates per person in USD

As we have already mentioned, shoebill tracking is the main activity that is being carried out at Mabamba swamps, but alongside shoebill tracking, you will also be able to witness other bird species that call the swamp home which among others include king fisher, yellow beaked ducks and many more. You will spend about 3 to 5 hours exploring the swampy area together with your birding guide who will be taking you through each bird that you will come across.
