Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Upon arrival, you will embark on your journey to Queen Ellizabeth national park with an English-speaking driver guide. The drive normally takes 6 hours with a briefing by the driver guide about the entire trip and an exclusive stopover in Kayabwe Masaka highway at the Equator to have memorable photography and visit the different craft shops.

After visiting the equator, you will continue to Mbarara for a lunch stop over and relaxation. As you continue through the Bushenyi route via Mubende and Fort Portal Road then join Kasese as you enter the beautiful home of Queen Elizabeth national park.  Dinner at the lodge

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise

After an early morning breakfast, the driver guide will pick you up and takes you for an early morning game drive which is normally done in Kasenyi plains. During the drive, you get a chance of seeing early morning risers in their active mode like lions, leopards, serval cats, civet, hyenas, jackals, genets, bush babies and hippos.

After the game drive, you will have lunch then relax a bit as your waiting for a boat cruise. The amazing experience normally starts at 2:00pm with a 2-hour drive exclusively at the Kazinga channel. During the boat drive, you get a chance of seeing the animals in a close range like crocodiles, a large concentration of hippos and various water bird species. After the cruise, your driver guide takes you back to the lodge.  Dinner at the lodge

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After an early morning breakfast, you will embark on your journey with your driver guide. During the scenic drive, a driver guide always gives a briefing about the park as you continue with the scenic views of the rolling hills of kigezi region, the different roadside crafts and fresh fruit shops, Lake Bunyonyi and different vegetation covers with small rivers and escarpments before reaching the beautiful home of the extra ordinary mt gorillas. Day 4: Gorilla trekking

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Rushaga headquarters for a mini briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking then after organize for the hiking trails to find the extra ordinary beautiful mt gorillas. Normally the trail takes 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas with an excluded hour to spend with the gorillas learning their behaviors, watch them play around and feed, take memorable pictures and videos for a thrilling lifetime experience.  Dinner at the lodge

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes national park

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the land of a thousand hills with stunning scenery and unique experiences through the Cyanika boarder. The drive normally takes you through the beautiful countryside homesteads of different people with views of the Virunga volcanoes as you arrive in Ruhengeri.  Dinner at the lodge

Day 6: Golden monkey tracking

An early morning breakfast will be served then you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing which starts at 7:30 am about what to expect and the expected code of conduct of golden monkey trekking. After the briefing, hiking sticks will be provided then you head out in groups with the ranger guides and park guides. Normally it takes 2-4 hours and once you find the golden monkeys you are given 1 hour to be with them in their bamboo shelters feeding, playing and swinging around and have memorable photography and recording.  Packed lunch is a must in case of re- allocation of golden monkeys. Dinner at the lodge

Day 7: Hike Dian Fossey tomb and transfer to lake Kivu

After an early morning breakfast, your English-speaking driver guide will take you to the park offices in Kinigi at 7:00am for briefing. After briefing, you will drive to the base of Mt Bisoke where hiking starts from.  The hike takes 1-4 hours and normally at the starting point, walking sticks are provided accompanied with rangers, park guides and porters.

After the hike, you will have lunch then set off for a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Upon arrival, tourists will register then continue for the boat ride. Normally it takes 3-5 hours spending and relaxing on the water with sights of beautiful scenery, calm and peaceful environment. The boat ride gives you a chance to see different bird species like crowned cranes and pied kingfishers’ pelicans and funky monkeys around the lake shores. Dinner at the hotel

Day 8: Transfer to Nyungwe national park

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Nyungwe forest national park by an English-speaking driver guide. The scenic drive normally takes you through different homesteads and rolling hills of Rwanda to get to the fabulous home of chimpanzees with an exclusive briefing about the entire trip by your driver guide. Lunch will be served and dinner at the hotel.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy Walk

After an early morning breakfast, you will be taken to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of Chimpanzee trekking. Then after the hiking trail starts, the tourists are always accompanied with park rangers, porters that always follow the hooting sounds of chimpanzees in the forest until you find them.

The trekking normally takes 6-8 hours with an hour exclusively to stay around the playful and intelligent creatures, record and take photos. After the trekking you will have lunch then organise for the amazing canopy walk. Canopy walk is the most exhilarating experience that takes 2 good hours with great views of Lake Kivu and Nyungwe forest as you see different animals, birds, reptiles, insects and amphibians.
