The 9 Days Uganda Rwanda primates Tour starts and ends in Kampala. It starts with a visit to Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Ngamba Island, proceed to Queen Elizabeth Park, Kyambura Gorge, Kibale Forest, Bwindi Home of Gorillas, cross to Rwanda's Parc National des Volcans; another home of gorillas. Expect activities such as game drives in search for some of the “Big 5” (African Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, and Elephant), excellent bird watching, gorilla trekking, primates tracking expeditions, Cultural visits, nature walks and fantastic launch cruise among others.

The 9 Days Uganda Primates Tour takes you to Ngamba Island, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kyambura Gorge, Kibale Forest National park, Bwindi Forest National Park as well as the beautiful Volcanoes National park. Day 1: Transfer-Ngamba / Chimpanzee tracking

Have breakfast to transfer to the shore to catch a boat to Ngamba Island. It will take you about an Hour to reach the Island. This should coincide with the feeding time of the Chimps, to view them as they feed. After viewing the Chimps, you will then have lunch on the island and later in the afternoon go for a nature walk in the forest of the island. Later in the evening you will transfer to the main land (Entebbe) Dinner and overnight at Entebbe Botanical Beach / Golf view inn.

Day 2: Drive-Queen Elizabeth / Boat trip

Have breakfast to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive to reach in the afternoon and have lunch at the lodge. Later go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. The park is known for its mammals and birds. The launch cruise will take you through the banks of the Kazinga channel which will reward you with animals like elephants, buffaloes, hippos and plenty of birds, both Migrants and residents. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Institute of Ecology.

Day 3: Game drive / Kyambura Gorge

After a glass of water or a cup of tea you will go for any early morning game drive through the Kasenyi tracks and Queens Miles. This will rewards you with a lot of game especially predators as they return to their hide outs. Expect game like elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, jackals and may more. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and then with packed lunch transfer to the Kyambura gorge to track chimps.  The walk through the gorge will also reward you with other primates like the Colobus Monkeys, baboons, Red tailed monkeys and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Institute of ecology.

Day 4: Transfer-Kibale / Chimpanzee tracking

Have breakfast to transfer to Kibale National Park. You will reach in the afternoon to have lunch and then transfer to he forest for chimpanzee tracking in the afternoon. The park is known to harbour the largest number of primates in the country. The walk will be guided providing you information not only on chimps and primates but also on fauna. Dinner and overnight Ndali Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer-Bwindi Forest

In the morning drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with packed lunch. You will reach in the afternoon to go for a community walk and then be entertained in some of the cultural dances of Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma community Banda.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking

Following breakfast you will transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before you set off at 9:00 am through the tracks to search for the humble giants. You will go with packed lunch because it’s hard to determine how long it will take you to meet these great apes. However the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tiresome, it involves walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them.  They are awe-inspiring! Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 7: Transfer-Volcanoes National Park Rwanda

In the morning have breakfast to transfer to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park. The journey takes you through plantations, and beautiful terraced hills that characterize much of Rwanda that gradually climb to the base of Virunga Volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge / Kinigi rest Camp

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking-Volcanoes

Transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then go to the forest to search for Gorillas. You will walk along the magical slopes of the Virunga Mountains searching for Gorillas. You will meet them to spend an hour with them.  Dinner and overnight at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge/ Kinigi Rest Camp

Day 9: Drive-Kampala

Have breakfast to drive back to Kampala. You will have a stop in Mbarara for lunch and then later at the equator for photographs to reach Kampala in the evening.
