The 6 Days Gorilla, Chimpanzee Safari Tour gives you remarkable encounters around the rare species of chimpanzees and Mountain Gorillas in their natural vegetation habitat at Kibale Forest National park and Bwindi Forest National park and experience remarkable game drives, boat cruises at the prominent Kazinga Channel.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer-Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Have an early breakfast, drive to the gorilla sanctuary through this beautiful mountain scenery referred to as the little Switzerland. You will reach Bwindi in the evening where you will check in and wait for Dinner and overnight at the Engagi Lodge/ Gorilla resort /Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking-Bwindi Forest

After breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides. Carry parked lunch, embark on a 30 minutes - 8 hours trek hunting for the Mountain gorillas. The tracking starts at the spot where the gorillas were last seen the previous day. After a quite one hour observing the gorillas, return to your accommodations before going for the Community walk. Dinner and overnight at Engagi Lodge/ Gorilla resort /Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 3: Transfer -Queen-Boat Cruise

Early morning transfer to Queen NP reaching in noon, check in at your Lodge and have lunch. After lunch you will head for Kazinga Channel for the afternoon launch cruise at the Kazinga channel where you may see a variety of bird species including Flamingoes and aquatic animals like crocodiles and hippos. Dinner and Overnight Enganzi lodge/King fisher lodge /Mweya safari lodge /samba safari camp/Ihamba safari lodge

Day 4: Game drive-Transfer to Kibale

Start with a morning game drive for animals common in this National Park like Elephants, Buffaloes, antelopes, lions, warthogs, leopards, Hyenas, Jackals and a lot more. Leave for Kibale after lunch for dinner and over night at your lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking-Kibale Forest

Chimpanzee tracking will start with a visit to the Uganda wildlife headquarters for briefing after which you start searching for chimpanzee in the rainforest . During the walk you may stop to listen to the calls of the chimps to avoid bypassing them. The walk will be guided providing information about chimpanzees, other primates, fauna and flora making it informative and interesting. After lunch go for a nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary, it has a lot of rare species to offer, both fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Mountains of the Moon / Primates lodge

Day 6: Departure-Kampala

Drive back Kampala where the Safari ends
