Detailed itinerary

Day 1 | Arusha – Tarangire National Park

On your arrival at Arusha airport, you will be received by your guide who will briefly take you through you trip itinerary before driving to tarangire national park. The drive is of 2 to 3 hours. You will drive 150 kilometres to the park. After the clearance from park headquarters, you will start on your game drive where you will encounter different animals highlighted by the elephants.

Other animals you are likely to meet include lions, leopard, several antelopes and many more. You will also meet different bird as the park is home to 500 bird species. What of giant baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the bush savanna land. After the game drive you will transfer to Sangaiwe Tented Lodge for your overnight.

Day 2 | Tarangire Area – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu

On your second day, you will be visiting the beautiful lake Manyara national park. The drive from tarangire to lake Manyara national park is 100 km which is a 2-hour drive. The park is the home to flamingos and other several water birds. Beside wildebeest, zebra and hippos, you will also see several lions in the trees and elephants feeding on savanna plains. The park is also a home to several primates including the velvet monkeys and baboon that you will meet. After the extended game drive in the evening, you will transfer to your lodge at Marera Valley Lodge for the night stay.

Day 3 | Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After the break fast, embark on a 4 to5 hour drive of 180 kilometers to the famous Serengeti national national. The name Serengeti stands for ‘endless plain’ in the language of the Massai natives. You will surely see the plains throughout the Serengeti.

During the drive you can stop at the different viewpoints to enjoy the breathtaking view of the famous Ngorongoro crater, on arrival at Serengeti, you will encounter wildebeest, zebras, lions elephants, masai buffalos and different other animals and various bird species. Basing on your timing, you might also witness the famous wildebeest migration or enjoying the beauty of the calving season. After the drive you will transfer to Kati Kati tented camp for the night stay

Day 4 | Serengeti National Park

The whole will be dedicated to the game drive in Serengeti. The drive will follow the flow of wildebeest migration. During the rainy season of October to December, the herds will be moving from the hills in the north heading to the south. During the rainy season of march to may, the herds will return to the north. As you can see, the migration will entirely depend on rain seasons. So, you will be guided basing on the season. You return to kati kati tented lodge for the night stay.

Day 5 | Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After the breakfast, you will go for another game drive to look out for what you must have missed out in the previous two day. If you have not encountered the big five of lions, leopards, elephants, cape buffalos and rhinos, this might be your lucky day of encountering them. After the afternoon hours, you will transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. The drive is 140 kilometres which is a 2-to-3-hour drive. At the arrival, the caldera will open for you where you will be able to witness various wildlife. You will spend the night at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp

Day 6 | Ngorongoro Conservation Area- Arusha

Again, drive back to the biggest caldera in the world to animals from the big five, zebra cheetah and many more. You will also witness various bird species that do reside in the Ngorongoro caldera. At noon, we shall transfer to arusha for our your flight back and that will spell the end of the trip
