DETAILED ITINERARY FOR YOUR 1 DAY GORILLA TREKKING IN VOLCANOES STARTING FROM KIGALI

Early in the morning you will take your breakfast, then your guide will be ready to drive you from your hotel or airport to Volcanoes national park. The park is situated within the northwestern parts of Rwanda and the journey is approximately a 2 to 3 hours drive.

The gorilla trekking experience starts with a briefing at the park headquarters (Kinigi) where trekkers are told about the rules and regulations to follow while in the forest.

After the briefing you will have to go to the forest in a group of not more than 8 people.  The trekking experience depends on the time you have spotted these gorillas. It can take one to six hours to spot gorillas in in the forest and you will be allocated one hour to spend with gorilla. After the trekking experience you will return to the park head quarters, from here the guide will drive you back to your hotel for lunch, or lunch can still be had with in Kigali. After enjoying lunch, the guide will drive you to the airport for your flight.
