The best Rwenzori climbing departure dates

Rwenzori mountain can be climbed all year round. However, to enhance you chances of success, you can consider hiking the mountain during the dry season from December to march and from June to September as during this time the trails are dry and less slippery, increasing your chances of summiting the third highest peak on Africa continent. The mountain has got three routes which are kirembe route, central circuit route, and Bukurungu route, eachone offering a unique experience

Will high altitude affect you?

As you move higher the mountain, the level of breathing oxygen keeps on reducing. Different individual will react differently on reducing oxygen. However, giving yourself enough acclimatisation will enable your body to adjust effectively with the changing conditions. We shall also try to keep the hiking slow as the way to manage the body reaction.

What will we eat?

We have got a standard dish of energy giving food consist of both local dishes and international dishes that will carried by our porters and be prepared by our professional chef. Where will we sleep?

Apart from the sleeping bag and the pillow, all other sleeping equipment are provided to you free of charge including a 3-inch mattress for your comfort. You can choose to carry your own sleeping bag or rent it on arrival for the extra comfort.
