After that, head north into Uganda, where the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest’s vast forests provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hike through dense foliage and see the magnificent mountain gorillas up close. From Bwindi proceed to Mgahinga national park and spend time with the magnificent golden monkeys, one of the most playful creatures on earth.

Before you soar into Tanzania’s fabled Serengeti, your adventure continues through the magnificent Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is teeming with animals and well-known for its tree-climbing lions. With huge vistas and a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five, you can see the drama of the African savannah play out here and at the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.

A DETAILED ITINERARY FOR YOUR 20 DAYS WILDBEEST GORILLAS AND VICTORIA FALLS

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and city tour.

Upon your arrival at the airport, our guide will be already to receive you. He will brief you about your 20 days wildebeest, gorillas and Victoria falls safari. Your safari commences with a city tour covering all areas of interest such as genocide centers, craft centers and many more.

En route lunch will be taken with taken with in Kigali, then proceed with exploring Kigali.

Dinner and overnight stay at Park Inn by Radison Blue(midrange)

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe national park

Rise up with an early break fast then prepare to transfer from your lodge to Nyungwe national park.  The park is one of the treasure troves situated with in the land of thousand hills.

You will arrive at the park in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge have lunch , relax around for some minutes. From here prepare to visit the tropical waterfalls, view the falls and the parks amazing scenery, take photos then in the late evening return to your lodge dinner and overnight stay Nyungwe hilltop view hotel (midrange)

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk

The morning will start after breakfast with chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest. You may spot other primates such as the Lhotse’s monkey and the grey-cheeked Mangabey. The birds in this tropical forest are also spectacular! It is quite the experience to enjoy the chimpanzees in their natural environment.

You will have an opportunity to relax over lunch, and then start a canopy walk in the afternoon.

The canopy walk is a guided tour starting from the Uwinka Visitors center in Nyungwe Forest with a 30 minutes’ walk via the Igishigishi Trail. The trail begins with a steep slope, but the views atop the canopy make it worth it! On a clear day, you can see Lake Kivu. After your canopy walk experience drive back to your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Early in the morning rise up take break fast and then prepare to transfer from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey is very rewarding with scenic views of the rolling hills in Rwanda.

You will pass via Cyanika boarder crossing from Kigali to Uganda to access the park.

En route lunch will be taken from Kabale and then proceed with your journey to Bwindi national park arriving in the late afternoon.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi lodge(midrange), Gorilla Mist Camp (budget).

Day 5:  Gorilla trekking and Batwa community walk

Today is the day to enjoy your close encounter with the great apes in their habitat.  Early morning have breakfast, and then depart to the park headquarters of Bwindi.

Trekking starts with a briefing at the park head quarters 8:00 am about the rules and regulations to follow while in the forest.  After the briefing ready with the necessary requirements such as your packed lunch, cameras, water, rain jackets, long pants, hiking boots, and other necessary equipment.

Depending on the location of these gorillas, trekking can last 2 to 5 hours. Upon meeting with these gorillas only one hour is offered for interaction.  After your wonderful experience with the gorillas descend at the park head quarters and winners will be awarded with certificates.

Meet up with your guide drive back to enjoy lunch at your lodge, relax around then in the late afternoon prepare and do a cultural encounter with the Batwa.

Day 6: Transfer to Mgahinga national park

On this day you will prepare to transfer from Bwindi to Mgahinga national park. Mgahinga is one of Uganda’s amazing wonders and is a home to both gorillas and golden monkeys.

You will check in at your lodge, enjoy lunch then in the late afternoon prepare to go and visit the Batwa. The Batwa are extremely an amazing tribe with interesting unique culture. When you interact with them, they will tell you more about their culture through dance and drama plus storytelling.

Day 7:  Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Queen

Early morning, have break fast then prepare to carry out your golden monkey trekking experience. You will meet the park guides for briefing and set off to hike the Virungas to track down the beautiful golden monkeys. The monkeys’ main habitat is the bamboo forests near the base of the mountains.

The hike is relatively light however the monkeys are active and are constantly moving through the bamboo as they love to feed on bamboo shoot. You will spend one with them and return and transfer back to your lodge to enjoy lunch.

After enjoying lunch, you will prepare to transfer to Queen Elizabeth arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 8:  Game drives and boat cruise.

Enjoy a wildlife drive in the morning to the Kasenyi Plains, the park’s northern section, where you may look for lions and leopards. Expect to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, Defassa waterbuck, bushbuck, and enormous forest hogs while traveling the Kasenyi track.

After a hearty lunch at the lodge, depart at 2:00 pm for a launch cruise across the Kazinga Channel. Large herds of elephants, hippos, and several migratory and endemic birds will all be closer to you throughout the launch experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest at 6:00 pm.

Day 9:  Depart from Queen and Transfer to Kigali.

Early morning take break fast at your lodge then depart with your guide to Kigali. The journey is approximately 4 to 5 hours drive but very thrilling and rewarding.  En route lunch will be taken in Kisoro town.

You will pas via Cyanika boarder and cross to the mighty Land of a thousand hills. In the late evening check in at your lodge dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Fly from Kigali to Arusha.

Rise up very early in the morning, enjoy breakfast then board your flight from Kigali to Arusha airport. Here you will meet up with our company representative, welcome you and give you a briefing about your safari with in Tanzania.

Have lunch with in Arusha, then transfer to Arusha national park for your evening game drive viewing a number of animals such as Elephants, giraffes, Zebras, Hyenas and many more.

Day 11: Transfer to Central Serengeti and afternoon game drive.

After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world.

An afternoon game drive on the Serengeti’s boundless plains will give you the opportunity to observe a pride of lions relaxing in the shade or large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. During the actual daylong game drive, a picnic lunch will be served. After a hearty dinner and a restful night’s sleep in your lodging, the exciting day comes to a close.

Day 12: Full day game drives in Serengeti.

Today is your day to explore fully the central portion of Serengeti national park. Early morning at exactly 6:00 AM depart for your morning game drive with in Tanzania’s spectacular parks. Later you will return to your lodge for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart for your afternoon game drive with packed lunch.

The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti – known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lions pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round.

Along with a picnic lunch during the full day game drive, the day will come to a close by around 5PM. The long day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 13: Morning game drive and transfer to Ngorongoro.

After an early breakfast, meet your guide and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ngorongoro).  You will do a game drive and a picnic lunch along the way. By noon, you will arrive at the crater, where you will eat lunch. The biggest entire, empty, and inactive volcanic crater in the world is the Ngorongoro Crater.

Its enormous floor is over 260 square kilometers, and it is more than 2000 feet deep. You will witness a great deal of animal action throughout your 5-hour game drive on the crater bottom. It is definitely advised to keep the camera ready.

Some of the other animals to spot with in Serengeti include African elephants, buffalos, Black rhinos, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. By dusk, you will start a difficult ascent to the crater’s top exit.

Day 14: Ngorongoro crater and return to Arusha national park.

On your day 14 of the 20 days wildebeest, gorillas and Victoria falls, you will rise up very early in the morning and enjoy your last game drive within the Ngorongoro crater.

After a brief breakfast, you will descend to the crater early at around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the biggest intact, empty, and inactive volcanic crater in the world. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet.

The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater.

This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location in Arusha by 6:00 PM in the evening. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

Day 15: Fly from Arusha to Victoria falls.

Depending on the time of your flight, you will fly to Victoria Falls, where you’ll witness one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Spend 5 days exploring this awe-inspiring destination, by carrying out a multiple of activities and discover the beauty of this amazing scenery.

Upon arrival at Harare airport, board a domestic flight to Victoria falls airport where you will meet up with our guide representative and drive to your lodging.

Day 16: Touring Victoria falls.

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, take a guided walking trip through the magnificent rainforest, home to a variety of plant and bird species, to the majestic Victoria Falls. You still have the opportunity to see the breathtaking views of the Livingstone Statue, the Cataracts, and the Victoria Falls throughout this adventure.

Come back to your resort for lunch, then unwind for the remainder of the day, eat dinner, and spend the night at Victoria Falls Safari resort.

Day 17: Optional Tours of Victoria Falls

You will get up at your leisure and eat breakfast because there are no planned events or activities for today. You can choose to stay at the lodge and enjoy the pool or just unwind in your bed, depending on your presence.

Some of the optional activities include White water rafting, abseiling, bungee jumping, and helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls are just a few of the different activities available within the area.

Take a sunset boat ride aboard the African Queen on the Zambezi River later in the day. A refreshing cocktail and the strains of the Marimba Band, a regional instrument that mourns the sounds of Africa, welcome you to the Royal Landing

There is a full bar on the lower and upper decks of the boot, offering a range of appetizers, iced drinks, and cocktails. You will head back to your hotel for the night in the evening.

Day 18: Visit to the Craft Markets and take a helicopter flight.

After breakfast, you many have a leisurely visit to the Crafts Market.  Here you will be able to view various artisans, see how they are made, and also purchase some. After exploring the craft markets return to our lodge to enjoy lunch.

After enjoying lunch, prepare to do a helicopter flight one of the must do activities while at Victoria falls. The flight gives clear breath-taking views of the falls and the Zambezi River.

Day 19:  White water rafting & relaxation at your lodge

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at your lodging then embark on white water rafting on the largest waterfalls of the world. Your guide will take you to the rafting side to enjoy experience.

After your experience, return to the lodge have lunch then in the relax around as you wait for tomorrow. You can opt for a massage session while at your lodge

Day 20: Depart for your flight back home.

Considering the time of your flight, you will prepare and your guide will drive you to Harare international airport for your flight back home.
